Sean's Book Review Policy
I abide by a strict "If you can't say nuthin' nice" policy. Quite frankly, I don't have time or patience for negativity in my life. Other people are much better at negative thoughts and criticism than I am, and I'm happy to leave them to it. My time on this earth is much too short to spend it talking about things I don't like, and there are so many things to like in this world that I'd much rather spend my time there, in my happy place, where there's an endless supply of corn dogs and good music.
Because let's be honest, here: just because a book isn't for me, doesn't mean it's not for someone else. Books are like coffee shop drinks... everyone's got their own way of making and enjoying it, and who am I to say the way that person enjoys their coffee is wrong. Their way just isn't for me.
And besides, if I spend my time talking about what I don't like about someone's book, I might be discouraging someone who would like it from picking it up. That would be a travesty of the highest order.
Instead, if I post reviews on my site (which I expect I'll be doing from time to time), you'll see sections about who will love the book and why. You won't see any thumbs-ups, or ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️s, or anything like that. If I'm forced to put stars on a thing, you'll see five of them, because I'd rather throw around some joy than poop on anyone's parade.
So that's the thing. Someone else can do the culling; I'll do the building up. And if you've got a problem with that, well... we accept all kinds around here. :)
